Profiles: Three Presidents

In 1997, FAMA produced a 'Dossier: Implementation of the Dayton Peace Accords,' a pioneering TV documentary to inform the public about the peace agreement. The inaugural episode delved into the implementation framework while offering a historical backdrop through Presidential Dossiers that were written in 1997: Slobodan Milosevic (Serbia), Franjo Tudjman (Croatia), and Alija Izetbegovic (Bosnia and Herzegovina).

Slobodan Milosevic

President of Serbia
[1941 – 2006]

Franjo Tudjman

President of Croatia
[1922 – 1999]

Alija Izetbegovic

President of Bosnia and Herzegovina
[1925 –2003]

If we are to comprehend the causes and consequences that led to the fall of Yugoslavia and the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is crucial to analyse the profiles of the three presidents, whose enduring legacies continue to shape contemporary events throughout the region.
